World’s first hybrid VR and AI lung surgery planning tool

MedicalVR develops software to support surgeons in planning and performing complex lung cancer surgeries. Thanks to our technology where we combine CT-scans and AI-algorithms in VR, we enable the surgeons to optimally prepare and perform lung surgery. Patients undergoing lung cancer surgery benefit by maintaining more healthy lung tissue compared to other traditional methods.


VR plays a crucial role in the visualization of our medical imaging technology as it allows the doctor to visualize a digital twin of the patient. The internship entails the further improvement of the current machine learning algorithms, optimize the connection between algorithms and Virtual Reality related code, and support the deployment process of the software and hardware. Furthermore you will collaborate with other team members in designing and developing new features.

We hope you can bring the following to the table:

  • Available for an internship for 10 weeks or longer
  • Studying Clinical Technology, Biomedical engineering or similar study
  • Experience with programming in Python
  • An interest in VR and medical imaging
  • Enjoy working at a startup within a continuously changing environment
  • The ability to work independently but also in a team
