World’s first hybrid VR and AI lung surgery planning tool

Surgical planning has not significantly changed over the last 40 years. Surgeons still plan using 2D CT images, and this needs to change. MedicalVR is building a suite of products to allow surgeons to more easily plan the most complex surgeries using VR and AI technology, allowing for more immersive, real life planning procedures. MedicalVR has proven its technology in hundreds of surgeries giving patients a higher quality of life afterwards.

Role

MedicalVR and its product suite are becoming increasingly complex. It started purely as a 3D visualization tool and is now transitioning into a collaborative, cloud-driven, pre-operative planning suite supporting a broad range of medical images and visualization methods.

From prototyping to developing and launching a CE-certified software product is a huge step. It requires the development team and management to work according to the processes described in the Quality Management System (QMS). Your role would entail providing guidance to the development team, improve & optimize the processes and writing of internal procedures. Within this role you will be exposed to regulatory standards like ISO13485, IEC62304, IEC82304, ISO14971 and ISO27001.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, execute and oversee inspection and testing of our engineering efforts, to verify quality and conformance to specifications, requirements and deliverables
  • Assist Operations in tracking, documentation and reporting of product quality procedures
  • Develop and update MedicalVR’s internal procedures to ensure proper process flows, documentation and post market surveillance
  • Provide support & training to Engineering in order to ensure developments are in compliance with internal processes

Competencies:

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Healthcare, Biomedical Engineering or similar
  • Strong experience in Process and Quality management
  • Strong communication skills that allow you to efficiently communicate with various stakeholders; eg. engineers, leadership and auditors/ regulatory bodies

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with Medical Technology and Engineering
  • Experience working with agile development practices
  • Understand the V-model vs. Demming Cycle (Plan, Do, Check, Act) procedures and experience with change management

What we offer:

  • Gross annual salary ranging €24.000 – €30.000 based on 2,5 days a week
  • A role in which you are available 2-3 working days, based on your preference
