World’s first hybrid VR and AI lung surgery planning tool

Surgical planning has not significantly changed over the last 40 years. Surgeons still plan using 2D CT images, and this needs to change. MedicalVR is building a suite of products to allow surgeons to more easily plan the most complex surgeries using VR and AI technology, allowing for more immersive, real life planning procedures. MedicalVR has proven its technology in dozens of surgeries giving patients a higher quality of life afterwards.

Role

MedicalVR and its product suite are becoming increasingly complex. It started purely as a 3D visualization tool and is now transitioning into a collaborative, cloud-driven, pre-operative planning suite supporting a broad range of medical images and visualization methods.

From prototyping to developing and launching a CE-certified software product is a huge step. It requires the development team and management to work according to the processes described in the Quality Management System(QMS). The role entails the guidance of the development team, improving and optimizing the processes and writing of internal procedures. Within this role you will be exposed to regulatory standards like ISO13485, IEC62304, IEC82304, ISO14971 and ISO27001.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, execute and oversee inspection and testing of development to confirm quality and conformance to specifications, requirements and deliverables.
  • Assist operations in tracking, documentation and reporting product quality procedures.
  • Develop and update MedicalVR’s internal procedures to ensure proper process flows, documentation, interviews and post market surveillance
  • Support current QA specialist
  • Provide training to the software development to develop in compliance with internal processes

Key skills and competencies:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in technical medicine, biomedical engineering, or similar degree where you gained experience with technical development.
  • Strong connection to medical and technical development.
  • Understand the V-model vs Demming Cycle (Plan, Do, Check, Act) procedures and know about change management.
  • Critical thinker who understands the processes, procedures and understand the business goals.
  • Excellent communicator, able to communicate with developers, regulatory bodies and leadership.

What we offer:

  • Gross annual salary ranging €30.000 – €35.000 based on a full time availability
